Founder Chang BiShi a descendant of Malaysia Donation of Penang Prose to the Museum
On April 16, 2024, Mr. Chang Bishi's descendant in Malaysia, Mr. Kuang Zhuo Chang, along with a tour group, visited the Changyu Wine Culture Museum. The museum held a warm welcome ceremony for Mr. Kuang. Mr. Kuang donated his father's book "Penang Chronicles" and a copy of the Chang family genealogy to the museum. The director, Hong Yuyan, returned two books, "The Roots of Chinese Wine" and "The Past of Changyu". At the same time, he was awarded the "Changyu Wine Culture Museum Collection Certificate".
Mr. Kuang ZhuoChang's maternal grandfather Chang Zanchen was the younger brother of Chang Chengqing, the first general manager of Changyu Company. Both of them were nephews of Mr. Chang Bishi and were also his two capable assistants at that time. Chang Zanchen was recommended by Sheng Xuanhuai to serve as the Chief Auditor of Bank of Communications. The financial value of Mr. Chang Bishi's "domestic and foreign assets reaching 80 million taels of silver" was calculated by Chang Zanchen back then.
During his visit to the museum, Mr. Kuang ZhuoChang passionately told many stories about Mr. Chang Bishi and the Malaysian Blue House. Director Hong Yuyan also introduced Mr. Kuang to the current development and achievements of Chang Yu Company. The company has internalized Mr. Chang Bishi's spirit of promoting industrial development into Chang Yu's corporate spirit, continuously inheriting and promoting it. In the study classroom, Mr. Kuang ZhuoChang and his team tasted Changyu wine and learned that Changyu has become the largest wine company in Asia and the fourth largest in the world, and Longyu wine has been marketed in Malaysia. They were very pleased and said that this trip to Changyu is truly worthwhile. In the future, we will definitely communicate more with the company, promote Chang Bishi, and promote Chang Yu!
