This collection is the third issue of the Brewing Magazine, published on August 1, 1939, in the 28th year of the Republic of China. It was collected from Yanggu, Shandong by the Changyu Wine Culture Museum. It can be said that it is not easy to collect, but precious to hide. In the illustration of the third issue of Brewing Magazine, there is a corner of the vineyard of Changyu Brewery Company; In his work, Sun Wei published "The Aging of Wine", "The Yeast of Grape Winery", and "Analysis of Brandy from Yantai Changyu Brewery Company"; The author Shu Wei provides a detailed introduction to brandy from various countries around the world in "Koya Brandy", which states that "the only brandy producing region in Asia is Yantai, China. There is only one brandy distillery in Yantai, which is the Changyu Brewery Company... The annual production capacity of brandy is 90000 liters (20000 gallons)... The distillation and storage method is completely based on the Koya region of France.". In addition to shipping to various coastal ports in China and cities such as Harbin, there are also many sales outlets in Singapore, Siam, and Medan. From the book, it can be seen that the advertising language at that time was simple and without any modifiers: "Foreign brandy is made by distilling grapes, and Zhangyu brandy is also made by distilling grapes, but Zhangyu's are twice as cheap as foreign goods.". It is not difficult to see from the above that at that time, Zhangyu's product quality and sales were top-notch in China.
