Feng Wenwei, styled Liantang, also known as Xiu'an. Born in Wucheng, Zhejiang (now Huzhou). In the second year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1876), Cao Hongxun, the third successful candidate (also known as Tanhua) in the imperial examination. In the first year of Guangxu, Feng Wenwei passed the imperial examination. In the second year of Emperor Guangxu's reign, Feng Wenwei participated in the imperial examination of the Ministry of Rites, passed the imperial examination, and was awarded the third place Jinshi in the first class. He was appointed as a compiler in the Hanlin Academy. Gongcalligraphy has a graceful and elegant brushwork. Works: Fan, Calligraphy, Hall Exam, Seven Character Couplet, etc. This is an inscription written by Feng Wenwei in 1893 for Mr. Zhang Bishi, expressing his appreciation for the Zhangyu Company.
