The first organic winery in China

The Xinjiang Barov Balboa Chateau, named after Barov Balboa, the first generation winemaker of Changyu Company, is located in Nanshan New District, Shihezi City. It was built by Yantai Changyu Grape Brewery Co., Ltd. at a cost of 600 million yuan.

It is the first organic winery in China. Located in Tianshan, Xinjiang, one of the world's three major wine making paradises, the winery uses Tianshan snow water for grape irrigation. Its products have won gold medals in international competitions such as the Berlin Wine Competition.

The winery covers an area of 1000 acres and has a dedicated planting base of 5000 acres, as well as a 6000 square meter underground wine cellar, with an annual production capacity of 1000 tons of winery wine.

The northern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang

The Paradise of Original Wine Grapes

Accumulated temperature - The northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains is a typical arid desert climate in the temperate zone, with an average annual temperature of 6.6 ℃ and an active accumulated temperature (≥ 10 ℃) of over 3300 ℃. The daily temperature difference exceeds 20 ℃, which is conducive to the full accumulation of glucose and the formation of grape pigments.

Sunshine - The annual sunshine hours in the production area exceed 2800 hours, even exceeding that in the Bordeaux production area; The growing season from April to September lasts for over 1600 hours, with a frost free period of 160 days.

Precipitation - The annual precipitation in the production area is only 190 millimeters, and the dry climate keeps grape trees away from the invasion of diseases and pests; The grape base is irrigated with snow water from the Tianshan Wannian Glacier, which is pure natural and pollution-free.

Soil - The parent material of the soil in the production area is mainly alluvial deposits, which contain gravel and sand particles. The soil has a fine particle size, loose soil, strong water permeability, and is conducive to the growth and development of grape roots.

The soil belongs to brown desert soil, gray desert soil, and tidal soil, rich in calcium, deep soil layer, and rich in organic matter content.

quality

13.5 degrees, thicker wine

The average sugar content of grapes exceeds 23 degrees. Even the Bordeaux region may not be able to reach it.

The winery fully leverages the advantages of high grape maturity and high sugar content here, producing a 13.5 degree wine in its first production year, highlighting a unique style with rich fruit aromas.

The alcohol content of regular wine is usually 12 degrees, while Barov Balboa Chateau wine is exactly one and a half degrees higher.

According to relevant information, 2009 is widely recognized as the best vintage of French wine in 60 years. In that year, the average alcohol content of authentic wines from 61 French wineries reached a historical high of 13.5 degrees; Over the past 30 years, only 5% of the authentic wines from French wineries have reached an alcohol content of 13.5 degrees.

The vineyard of the winery is mainly composed of Gobi gravel soil, and the grape trees have deep roots, absorbing more minerals, resulting in a rich and layered fruit aroma.

The small rainfall here creates a unique and stable climate in the production area, which enables the winery to produce rich wines with an alcohol content of over 13.5 degrees Celsius almost every year.
