A unique environment
Superior climate environment
The Miyun production area in Beijing belongs to a semi humid and semi-arid continental monsoon climate. The annual sunshine hours are 2243 hours. During the grape ripening period from September to October, there is less rainfall, sufficient sunlight, and a large temperature difference between day and night, which is conducive to the accumulation of sugar, color, and flavor substances during the grape fruit ripening period, ensuring the high quality of grape raw materials.
Outstanding soil environment
The soil is composed of gravel structured soil, which is rich in a mixture of calcareous gravel and extremely rich in minerals. The surrounding mountainous terrain has improved the drainage performance of small production areas. The soil is loose, especially suitable for roots to take root deep into the earth, ensuring that grapes can absorb trace mineral elements from the deep soil.
"This is located in the Miyun Ecological Conservation Area, with a soil that is comparable to the left bank of Bordeaux. The sand and gravel structure of the soil has good drainage and permeability, and the grape tree roots are rooted more than 5 meters deep in the earth, ensuring that the grapes fully absorb the trace mineral nutrients in the deep layers of the soil, ultimately brewing a complex and profound wine."
——Honorary Manor Leader and Chief Winemaker of Changyu Afip Beijing Winery: Robert Dinglot
Brewing: Inherited for a century, combining Chinese and Western cultures
Integrating into the centenary spirit of Changyu
From Ba Bao, Ba Di Shi Duo Qi to Ge Hadi, Zhang Yu Afip embodies the culmination of nine generations of winemakers, making it the pinnacle of China's century old wine industry history.
OIV full technical support
Integrating capital and technology from multiple countries such as China, the United States, Italy, and Portugal to jointly build, with full technical support provided by the International Organization for Grape and Wine (OIV).
To ensure that each grape tree receives sufficient sunlight and nutrition, the winery only grows 266 grape trees per acre, and each grape tree produces only one bottle of good wine, even surpassing the AOC legal production area standards in France.
